It's Mother's Day this Sunday and what better way to celebrate with them than to have some photographs taken... creating precious memories of the family love and bonds we have. Nick is a partner and hairdresser extraordinaire at the award winning Hobson Holmes hair salon in Westpark Village, Darlington and wanted some special photographs of his mum Janet and him. So, we met at her house on a gorgeous spring day - lots of blue sky which is great for March! and had a walk round the village where she lives...

Happy Valentines Day

Crikey, I didn't realise how long it was since I'd done a blog post - it's been so busy at Burns Rowatt.

So, since it's Valentines Day and the world will be celebrating love, I thought I'd make this a special post..... Boudoir photography has become very popular, whether it's a present from a bride to be for her new husband on their wedding day, a confidence boost to celebrate a poignant time in your life, a birthday or engagement gift.

My boudoir sessions are such a relaxed and fun experience. They are set at a stunning location, my clients are pampered with professional hair styling by the amazing and talented Nick and his team at Hobson Holmes and make-up by Melissa Popple. Then we have an all female team to take stunning and gorgeous pictures. The shoot is about being totally gorgeous and embracing your feminine and sexy side. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Laura and Aaron who are getting married in a couple of years. Laura is a fashion student and is designing her own dress so she has plenty of time to get the details just the way she wants them..... can't wait to see the final creation!

I had the delight of photographing Ben recently, and what a cutie! He and his parents live 30 seconds from the beach and so off we went for some fun in the sand....

When I met Vicki I found out that she is a girl of many talents.... not only does she have a zoology degree and wants to set up her own zoo, is into extreme sports and abseils on oil rigs, she wants to break into modelling too. So I helped her out by getting some portfolio images together.

A beautiful new lingerie shop has just opened.... the lucky ladies of Yarm will be spoilt for choice for gorgeous designer underwear, swimwear and even jewellery.

Violette at 37 High Street, Yarm is the passion of Lesley Kenneally who wanted to open a boutique lingerie shop that gave a bespoke measuring and advice service. They cater for cup sizes A-J. How many of us ladies have drawer fulls of bras, which are different sizes according to where we shopped and that just don't fit properly???
