Obsession
I have a little obsession....... nature has some amazing colours but I think poppy fields are one of the best things nature has, even though they are so fleeting. Every year I set out in the late afternoon sun to seek out the red fields. Here are a few shots of this year. I thought it was very nice of Mr Branson to order a balloon especially for my photos too! ;0) Enjoy. x

Sarah & Dave
I get to meet all sorts of lovely people in the wedding industry and I've met Sarah at many wedding fairs as she has a photobooth company - Limelight Hire She is a genuinely happy, energetic and generous person who loves the wedding industry too. So I was absolutely delighted when she asked me to take her wedding photographs. I've never met such a laid back and chilled out bride! They had an amazing day at Solberge Hall ........... and yes there was a photoboth for all their guests to have fun in!

Vicky and Tony's Pre-wedding shoot
Vicky and Tony decided the beach was the place to go for their pre-wedding photo shoot. It was freezing cold but we had a great time and it was an opportunity for them to get used to being photographed in time for their wedding in June. I'm so looking forward to their wedding which has a vintage theme with a few extra special touches. See you soon. x

Vicky & Prav.....
.... have been together for quite a few years now after meeting across a hospital bed. They recently tied the knot in a beautiful village church in Northumberland and then went on to Linden Hall, just up the road, where there was a blend of English and Indian food for their guests. The Indian cuisine was prepared and cooked in a special tent at the venue by a London Chef. Vicky's gorgeous Leann Belter dress was supplied by Jo at YAP Bridal and her look was completed by professional make-up artist Jo Leversuch. Their entertainment in the evening was by the amazing Hip Operation (Vicky tells me the name wasn't why they booked the band!) Congratulations guys. x Their beautiful wedding is also now featured in the new Spring/Summer Darlington Weddings Magazine.

Loving weddings.....
There are many reasons why I love doing what I do, but seeing the emotion and happiness when people see their photographs is just the best. I had the honor of taking Vicky and Prav's wedding photographs and Vicky just emailed me with this amazing testimonial.......
Claire was our wedding photographer and she is fab. She put us at ease from our initial meeting and ‘got’ me and how I wanted the wedding photographed and how to make me look nice (I'm not a dress person). As part of the package we got a free engagement shoot which is a brilliant idea – you get to sample how it is to be photographed on the day and so you know what to expect. It was actually fun (I also am not a photo person) and Claire showed us the pictures as a slideshow at home before the wedding so we could see how amazing she made us look. Consequently I had 100% faith in her and the photos we got on the day. Our makeup was done by Jo Leversuch who is fantastic. We had a trial run a few weeks before and noted how I wanted the makeup done. She worked magic and I didn't look too bad on the day if I say so myself! She works with Claire regularly and knows how to balance light/camera film and makeup to produce a look where I felt comfortable and beautiful.

Claire & Chris
Claire & Chris were married at a gorgeous village church where after the ceremony they had to break the ribbon seal on the church gates, which is a lovely little village tradition. They went on to a marquee reception at Hardwick Hall...... we just managed to get some beautiful shots of the children, brides maids etc on the folly before thick black thunder clouds rolled in..... phew.
